Bangladesh off to steady start against Pakistan in Asia Cup T20 2016

Tamim Iqbal was the only wicket to fall in the first five overs.

Bangladesh have begun their chase of Pakistan’s 129 in a steady fashion. Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar opened the batting for Bangladesh. Mohammad Aamer was handed the new ball by Shahid Afridi. He bowled to Tamim, who took the strike. Tamim got off the mark first ball by advancing down and hitting the ball towards mid-wicket for a single. Soumya Sarkar played two dots and then took a run to bring Tamim back on strike. Tamim hit the last ball for maximum at square leg region. It was a full ball right in his slot and Tamim took full advantage of it. Sarkar joined the party in the next over, which was bowled by Mohammad Irfan. Sarkar took a single next ball. Irfan then trapped Tamim leg-before for seven. It was a full ball which came in sharply. It was a good decision; the hawk eye showed that it could had gone to hit the middle stump.In-form batsman Sabbir Rahman then came to the crease. Bangladesh’s run rate slowed down after the fall of Iqbal. Aamer bowled a good third over of the innings giving just five runs. It included a powerfully hit four by Soumya Sarkar off a bouncer. He pulled the ball beautifully towards mid-wicket.  Irfan bowled an even better over next up giving just two runs. Sami was brought into the attack in the fifth over. Rahman welcomed him with a four at fine leg region. He picked up a single next ball. After five overs Bangladesh were 30 for the loss of one wicket.
