The fourth edition of the Bangladesh Premier League 2016 is all set to kick start on November 4, which will feature seven teams. The tournament will be played over a span of over month with the final being played on December 10. Two new teams will be making its debut this season — Khulna Titans and Rajshahi Kings with new ownership after the original franchises missed out the 2015 edition. The tournament is expected to be a thriller and the seven teams to participate in this are Comilla Victorians, Rajshahi Kings, Rangpur Riders, Khulna Titans, Barisal Bulls, Chittagong Vikings, and Dhaka Dynamites.
The first game will be played at Mirpur between Comilla Victorians and Rajshahi Kings on November 4. The first 16 games of the tournament will be played at the same venue after the next 10 games will be played at Chittagong. The next 20 games including the final will again be played at Mirpur. A total of 46 games will be played in the whole tournament. The second game will be played between Rangpur Riders and Khulna Titans followed by the encounter between Barisal Bulls and Chittagong Vikings. Comilla Victorians will play their second game against Dhaka Dynamites, who will be playing their first game of the tournament. This tournament will be serving as an ideal platform for the budding talents to showcase their talent in the grand stage and rub shoulders with some big and established names in the game. With numerous numbers of games being played in this tournament a lot of action can be expected. Each team will be allotted points on the basis of every game and a total of four teams will make it to the elimination round. The bottom three teams will be disqualified from the tournament.
The top two teams of the table will play Qualifier 1 and the winner of this contest will directly advance to the finals of the tournament. The loser of Qualifier 1 will get another reprieve and will play the eliminator. Qualifier two will be played between third and fourth team in the points table and will be a knock out one. The loser will be disqualified while the winner of Qualifier 2 will move to the Qualifier 2, where it will lock horns with the loser of Qualifier 1. The winner of Qualifier 2 will make it to the finals where it will play against the winner of Qualifier 1.

Expect some breathtaking actions for over a month as many overseas players have been drafted in the tournament. The final of the tournament will be played on December 10, 2016 at Dhaka. Each team will be play a total number of 12 games and the top four will get a nod ahead. All the games of the elimination round will be played at the same venue of Dhaka.
