In the last One-Day International (ODI) between Bangladesh and Afghanistan which took place at Mirpur, the hosts defeated Afghanistan by a huge margin of 141 runs as they clinched the three-match series 2-1. Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal smashed his seventh ODI century to help the host post a commendable target of 280 in the allotted 50 overs. Afghanistan while chasing could not bear the burden of this big target as their side succumbed to a total of 138 in 33.5 overs. This victory also marked the 100th ODI victory for Bangladesh in ODI’s. But what grabbed the attention during the second innings of the match was a streaker entering the field and hugging the Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Mortaza.

The video, not clear though shows how some guy ran towards the field running on the field and hugging Mortaza tightly. The player first gestured the streaker to go back, but the fan apparently could not get enough of his chance to meet the skipper of his national team and decided to hug him. Mortaza soon too joined in the gesture as he hugged back his apparent fan, but what came as a surprise was the way the player asked the security personnel to not take away the streaker dragging as the player himself strolled down the ground with him.
It is quite commendable as too how the Bangladesh skipper handled the issue maturely without flinching about it. The streaker seems like could not control his urge to meet his captain under who’s leadership his international side won their 100th ODI match.
