Earlier, Bangladesh were bundled for 260 in the first innings, but they were able to post a strong performance with the ball, restricting the visitors to 217. Batting again, despite Tamim Iqbal’s attractive batting, Bangladesh were bowled out for 221, posting a target of 265. Though the Bangladesh bowlers got rid of Matt Renshaw and Usman Khawaja early, both Steven Smith (25*) and David Warner are at the crease and have built a strong partnership. With 109 runs on the board already, they now need less than 200 runs with six sessions and 8 wickets remaining, which is not a very difficult job for a side like Australia. However, they had collapsed once in their previous innings and Bangladesh will aim to pull off a similar stunt in this innings as well to register their first victory against Australia.
