Ross Taylor completed his 30th One-Day International (ODI) half-century in 81 deliveries as New Zealand reached a score of 173 for the loss of three wickets at the end of 33 overs during their ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 Pool A match against Bangladesh at the Seddon Park in Hamilton on Friday. Taylor had earlier formed a 131-run partnership with Martin Guptill, who was dismissed for a score of 105 off 100 balls off the bowling of Bangladesh skipper Shakib Al Hasan, with New Zealand cruising during their chase of the 289-run target set by Bangladesh. Bangladesh finished on a score of 288 for the loss of seven wickets after 50 overs at the end of their innings against New Zealand. Mahmudullah and Soumya Sarkar were the stars of the Bangladeshi batting performance, scoring 128 and 51 respectively, while Corey Anderson was the pick among the New Zealand bowlers with figures of two for 43 from his quota of 10 overs. New Zealand earlier won the toss and skipper Brendon McCullum elected to bowl. There were changes in both sides, with New Zealand bringing Mitchell McClenaghan in for his first game in the tournament, coming in place of Adam Milne. Bangladesh, on the other hand, missed out on the services of regular captain Mashrafe Mortaza, with Shakib Al Hasan taking up the responsibility in his stead.
