This time, it was Bangladesh, who took the lead registering a 90-run win in the first ODI at Dambulla. The second match at the same venue was washed out due to rain, but not before Sri Lanka posted a score 311. However, Sri Lanka won the third ODI at the SSC, Colombo by 70 runs to level the three-match series 1-1. There are a few changes from both sides in the T20I series. Bangladesh have included all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin into the squad. Shuvagata Hom and Rubel Hossain, who did not play a single ODI, have returned home.
