Hosts Bangladesh face off against minnows United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Match 3 of the Asia Cup T20 2016, at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur, Dhaka on Friday. Bangladesh have had a tough start to their campaign in the tournament, following a dreadful 45-run loss against India in the opening tie on Wednesday, and would aim for a turnaround and earn their opening win against the minnows. However UAE, who too faced tough luck on Thursday night, losing to Sri Lanka by just 14 runs, too would aim for an improved performance against the hosts, and give them another taste of defeat at the hands of fresh Afghans. Going by the performance of the previous games, changes are most likely to happen for both of the sides, as Bangladesh would look to strengthen their batting line-up and could well drop opener Mohammad Mithun and Mahmudullah to be replaced by Nasir Hossain and Nurul Hasan, while in bowling, Taskin Ahmed could miss out to Abu Hider. As for UAE, in the batting it could be the whole-top order that could be reshuffled or rotated in the form of Rohan Mustafa, Muhammad Kaleem, Mohammad Shahzad and Mohammad Usman, who all failed to fire with the bat, and so could Saqlain Haider, while in the bowling, it could be Qadeer Ahmed and Ahmed Raza, who could well miss out of a spot in the playing XI, and could be replaced by a flood of talented young side on the bench.
