Bangladesh will take on Zimbabwe in the third Twenty20 international (T20I) of the four-match series. The game will be played at Sheikh Abu Naser Stadium at Khulna, Bangladesh on Wednesday. Bangladesh are high on confidence having won the first two T20Is and would try their best to win the third match and with it also claim the series even before the fourth and final T20I is played. Zimbabwe, on the other hand will be wanting to bounce back into the series. They performed poorly with both bat and ball in the previous two encounters. However, it is their batting which is their major weakness and worry. They could only manage to make 125 for the loss of eight wickets, chasing Bangladesh’s 168-run target in the second T20I. LIVE SCORECARD: Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe, 3rd T20I at Khulna
In the first match, Zimbabwe batted first but were able to post only 163 runs which Bangladesh easily chased down with eight balls remaining. Leg-break bowler Sabbir Rahman picked up three wickets in the second T20I and Bangladesh would hope that he bowls well in the third T20I as well. He also scored 43 runs in the match and is looking in good touch. Left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman has taken four wickets from the two matches, two in each. He too will be one of Bangladesh’s key bowlers in the match. Talking of Bangladesh’s batsmen— Soumya Sarkar and Sabbir have batted well in the series. A lot will be expected from Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim as well.
Zimbabwe’s key players for this game will be Hamilton Masaakadza, Sean Williams, Malcolm Waller, Graeme Cremer and Wellington Masakadza. The match is going to be interesting by all means.
