Barbados Tridents opening batsman, Shane Dowrich and number three batsman Raymon Reifer were out early against Cape Cobras. Charl Langeveldt got the wicket of Dowrich whereas Reifer was run out.
Cape Cobras and Barbados Tridents are playing an important game of Group B of the ongoing Champions Lague Twenty20 (CLT20) 2014 at Mohali. Both Cobras havent’won a single match in this tournament whereas Barbados too lost their first match against Kings XI Punjab. Tridents can still make an impact in this tournament if they win all three of their matches. On the other hand, Cobras will not want to bow out of this tournament so soon.
However, fortune hasn’t favoured Cobras in this edition of CLT20. The team is missing Dale Steyn and JP Duminy, their star T20 performers, but they still have big names like Hashim Amla, Richard Levi, Justin Kemp, Justin Ontong, Robin Peterson, Vernon Philander, and Charl Langeveldt in their team. This could be their last chance to change their fortunes, because they already lost against the Northern Knights and Hobart Hurricanes.
Cobras won the all important toss and decided to bowl first. Dane Piedt is out with the arm injury he sustained in Cobras’ previous game and Justin Kemp comes in. Shane Dowrich and Akeal Hosein were in for the Tridents in place of Elton Chigumbura and William Perkins.
