With hopes of an India-Pakistan series coming to the fore, it has been said that there isn’t any confirmation as to when the series could take place. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is waiting for clearance from the Indian government, Times of India reported on Wednesday.
The newspaper reported on its website that the inclusion of Sialkot Stallions in the Champions League T20 (CLT20) had increased hopes of resumption of bilateral cricketing ties. However, the BCCI isn’t able to give immediate solution to the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) regarding the said move and the Pakistani players’ inclusion in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
An unnamed source from the BCCI told Times of India, “We will announce the arrival of the Pakistani team only after the government gives us the nod to allow Pakistan players in India. As far as the BCCI is concerned, the Board will do whatever it takes to revive the series, but we can’t commit when Pakistan will tour India.”

The report also said that the BCCI is now concentrating on Sialkot Stallions’ participation in the CLT20. However, they may not play the tournament in India as South Africa has said it is interested in hosting it.
