New Delhi: Jun 1, 2013

Rajeev Shukla, the chief commissioner of the Indian Premier League (IPL) told the media that Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President N Srinivasan has convened the emergency meeting on June 2 at 11.00 hrs at Chennai, which was earlier scheduled for a week later on June 8.

Shukla went on to say that a big decision could be taken with respect to the spot-fixing saga, as reported by Times Now.

Sources suggests Srinivasan could be asked to step aside till the entire matter is dealt with and Shashank Manohar is likely to take his place temporarily.

South Zone Vice-President Shivlal Yadav also confirmed the rescheduling of Working Committee emergency meeting.

Earlier, Joint Secretary of BCCI Anurag Thakur said that the board could be forced to reschedule its Emergency meeting.

Srinivasan’s adamant stand of sticking to the post of BCCI President despite the credibility-crisis created by the IPL 2013 spot-fixing scam, Friday night prompted Board Treasurer Ajay Shirke and Secretary Sanjay Jagdale to resign in protest.
