The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is likely to send a show-cause notice to Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) President IS Bindra after the later shared minutes of BCCI’s Working Committee and alleged that the board President N Srinivasan has led the board to suffer a loss of Rs 10,000 crore.
“Being a member and most senior official he should have not made details of the minutes of the meeting public. Bindra has [been] attending most of the BCCI working committee meetings. It is an act of indiscipline and BCCI won’t tolerate this,” a BCCI top official was quoted as saying by Indian Express.
Disgraced Indian Premier League (IPL) chairman Lalit Modi has found an ally in Bindra. Just few days back Modi slammed the disciplinary committee report and BCCI for not giving him enough time to defend himself. Modi was found guilty on nine counts.
On Friday, Bindra tweeted a document which had the minutes BCCI’s Working Committee.
The PCA president has asked for the resignation of Srinivasan in the past. Bindra was the single person to ask for the resignation of the BCCI president when Srinivasan’s son-in-law and Chennai Super Kings official Gurunath Meiyappan was involved in betting of IPL matches.
