BCCI official Anurag Thakur elected as Himachal Olympic Association president
BCCI joint secretary and BJP Member Parliament (MP) from Hamirpur, Anuraag Thakur, was today elected as the president of the Himachal Olympic Association (HPOA).

BCCI joint secretary and BJP Member Parliament (MP) from Hamirpur, Anuraag Thakur, was today elected as the president of the Himachal Olympic Association (HPOA).
The elections were held here in presence of the Indian Olympic Association Observer, I D Nanavati, and Himachal Sports Council Observer, Chaman Dhouta.
Thakur, who was voted as general secretary of the Association in 2008, was elected unopposed to the president’s post.
Rajesh Bhandari, member of the Boxing Association of the state was, meanwhile, elected as the secretary.

A total of 14 members were chosen on Wedneday, with the representatives of all the affiliated units of HPOA participating in the election process. (PTI)
