The Tours, Programmes and Fixtures Committee of the Cricket Board would finalise the international and domestic programme for the 2011-12 season at its one-day sitting on June 18.
“The Tours, Programmes and Fixtures Committee is meeting on Saturday. The entire international and domestic programme would be finalised at the meeting,” said BCCI’s Chief Administrative Officer Prof. Ratnakar Shetty on Friday.
According to Shetty, West Indies are to tour India to play five ODIs and three Tests in the forthcoming season while England would play one T20 international and five ODIs during their short visit.
The matches would be allocated by the committee, headed by Arun Jaitley, on the basis of the Cricket Board’s rotation policy, he said.
As per indications the revamped Wankhede Stadium, that hosted the April 2 World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka, is expected host a Test match for the first time since March 2006.
In between, a Test match was held in Mumbai’s Brabourne Stadium, between India and Sri Lanka, in December 2009 when the Wankhede was being revamped for the World Cup.
