Kolkata: Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Joint Secretary, Avishek Dalmiya on Friday applauded the state cricket team for reaching the quarter-final stage of the Ranji Trophy 2015-16 tournament. “Many Congratulations to the entire cricket team for reaching the quarters of the Ranji Trophy. I also congratulate the coaches and support staffs on the success,” said Avishek Dalmiya. “I hope and pray that we would persist putting up a good show in the forthcoming matches as well. Bengal today qualifed for the knockout stage after grabbing three points from their drawn Group A match against Assam at Guwahati. Bengal are occupying the second place with 28 points in the Group A points table, headed by Vidarbha with 29 points. The knock out quarter finals are to be held from February 3-7, 2016.
