The 2012 NKP Salve Challenger Trophy will feature Bengal as the third team along with India A and India B, the BCCI announced on Monday.
Bengal made it to the Challenger Trophy after they clinched the Vijay Hazare Trophy in March this year. They comprehensively thrashed heavyweights Mumbai by six wickets in the final.
Bengal chased down the 249 with 23 balls to spare, to win their first National One Day Championship in fourth attempt.
The tournament will be played at Rajkot from September 29 – Octtober 2, 2012
