Bhuvneshwar Kumar controversially given out on Day 4 of 4th Test between India and Australia in Sydney
Bhuvneshwar given out controversially

Jan 9, 2014
Was Bhuvneshwar Kumar out on Day Four of the fourth Test between India and Australia? During Nathan Lyon-over, Bhuvneshwar went on to drive at a half-volley outside the off-stump. It was very full and Bhuvneshwar went to drive. There were two sounds as the ball went to first slip. At the outset, it looked as if the ball had taken the bat and gone off the ground towards the slips.
Umpire Richard Kettleborough referred the matter upstairs. The replays showed that there was an edge as the ball went past the bat, but it most likely bumped into the ground and bounced to Shane Watson at first slip. A few replays were shows and then finally, Simon Fry the third umpire, ruled in favour of the Australians. It was quite surprising as the replays were almost certain of the ball bumping into the ground.
Bhuvneshwar had stitched together a strong stand over fifty with Ravichandran Ashwin and they were eating away at the lead in tandem. Following India losing Virat Kohli and Wriddhiman Saha in the morning, they were going very solid and did not look shaky. This has perhaps robbed India a chance of getting close to the Australian total. Now they will solely reply on Ashwin to do that.
