Bob Carter was appointed as the assistant coach of New Zealand team following John Wright’s departure. Carter will be working under Mike Hesson, the new coach of the Black Caps.

Earlier, Carter has been the assistant coach of the Kiwis. He has also worked with Northamptonshire in England and coached the New Zealand A team.

“Bob brings a wealth of experience to the role having coached with Northamptonshire and with the Black Caps and will provide valuable support to head coach, Mike Hesson, and captain, Ross Taylor,” John Buchanan was quoted as saying by www.stuff.co.nz.

“He will help provide the right balance within the coaching group and complements the skill-set of the rest of the unit,” said Buchanan.
