Johan Botha notched up a fine half-century to steer Rajasthan Royals to a facile eight-win victory over Deccan Chargers in their IPL match in Hyderabad.
Earlier, Dale Steyn breached the half-century stand between Rahul Dravid and Johan Botha to keep Deccan Chargers hopes alive in their IPL game against Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad.
Steyn castled Dravid with a slower one for 28. It was Steyn who earlier snared Amit Paunikar caught brilliantly behind by Kumar Sangakkara for 20 in their IPL match against in Hyderabad.
Paunikar gave Rajasthan Royals a confident start in their chase of 138 for victory, collecting four boundaries early on in their IPL match against Deccan Chargers in Hyderabad.
Paunikar first hit two fours off the left-arm spin of Pragyan Ojha before clobbering Dale Steyn for two more boundaries.
His opening partner Rahul Dravid was happy to play the second fiddle to Paunikar. He also got into the act, hitting Daniel Christian over his head for his first boundary.
Earlier, Deccan Chargers posted a score of 137 for 8 in its allotted 20 overs.
