Karachi [Pakistan]: Pakistan pacer and Champions Trophy hero Hasan Ali is all set to make his Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) debut as he has signed a deal with league franchise Comilla Victorians for the upcoming edition to be held later this year. Confirming the news, Ali said that he is extremely happy to be associated with the BPL as it would be his first appearance in a foreign T20 league. “It will be my first appearance in a foreign T20 league and I am very happy about this,” the Dawn quoted Ali as saying.
Meanwhile, three other Pakistani players namely Fahim Ashraf, Imran Khan Jr and Shoaib Malik, will reportedly also represent Comilla Victorians in the BPL. Hasan, who initially emerged in the Pakistan cricket scene after being named in the Peshawar Zalmi squad in the first edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), bagged a total of 13 wickets to guide Pakistan to their maiden Champions Trophy glory in June this year.
After receiving the Man of the Tournament award, Hasan credited his success for his sheer hard work he has been putting in over the past year: “I wasn’t in the side last year but I relied on hard work and self belief.”
