Former Australia bowler Nathan Bracken has sued Cricket Australia, claiming that a knee injury which he sustained while playing for Australia robbed him of his earnings.

The Herald Sun reported that the former left-arm seamer Bracken is suing CA — claiming ‘professional negligence’ – and arguing that it failed in their duty to protect him from serious long-term damage.

Bracken’s knee injury forced him to announce retirement in January 2011, but a point of contention expectedly will be his ability to participate in a television show ‘Dancing with the Stars’.

Bracken was not present in the court when the case was briefly mentioned.

His lawyer Richard O’Keefe asked the case be adjourned because the cricket governing body had not complied with previous court orders, to provide “medical records relating to the Plaintiff”.
