The 18th edition of the Indian Premier League is set to kick-off from March 22 with the tournament opener set to be played between Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru

The entire schedule of the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League has finally been announced. The tournament is set to begin from March 22. The BCCI has released the schedule of the world’s biggest cricket league.

The tournament opener will see defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders battle it out against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on March 22. The match will be played at the iconic Eden Gardens stadium in Kolkata.

On the other hand, the qualifiers for the tournament will be contested from May 20. The first qualifier will be played in Hyderabad. The eliminator will also be played in Hyderabad and will be contested on May 21.

The final match of the upcoming IPL edition will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on May 23. This is quite a surprising move as the final was expected to be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
