Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has broken a massive IPL auction record and has become the most expensive player to be sold in the IPL auction at INR 27 crore to the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).

The Lucknow-based franchise entered a bidding war with Delhi Capitals (DC), Pant’s former franchise to get the player’s services.

Earlier, Pant was released by the Delhi Capitals ahead of the auction with their premier retention being that of all-rounder Axar Patel.
