Brendon McCullum scored a scorching 59 off only 26 balls against South Africa in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 semi-final match at Auckland. McCullum has got New Zealand off to flying starts in virtually every match of the tournament. Though he is yet to score a century, he has managed four half-centuries and a 52 in eight innings. One very interesting stat is that McCullum has managed three of these scores this year itself. He is also the only New Zealand batsman to feature. He occupies both of the top two spots, with his mind-numbing 77 off 25 balls against England earlier in the tournament being the only time a 50-plus score has been made in a World Cup with a strike rate of over 300.
