Sydney: Former Australian pace spearhead Brett Lee has become the latest sporting casualty to land into a social media storm over hunting photos, following the backlash against compatriot and ex-paceman Glenn McGrath.

Following backlash against McGrath on Saturday, when photos of him hunting African animals on safari in 2008 circulated social media, another image surfaced online on Sunday. The latest picture displayed Lee with McGrath around a dead bleeding animal hanging off the back of a vehicle and two children posing in the photo, while one of the children appears to be holding the dead animal’s head up, News.com.au reported. Social media users immediately responded with distaste for the same. On Saturday, Australian cricket legend McGrath was shamed on Twitter after photos emerged of him posing with dead animals in Africa. The images appeared on social media but were taken in 2008, in which McGrath could be seen holding a gun in front of several animals, including an elephant and a buffalo. They were originally posted on the Chipitani Safaris’ game park website, but have been since been taken down, the report added.
