The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) on Friday decided to honour former allrounder Kalyan Mitra with the Kartick Bose Lifetime Achievement Award for 2010-11.
A former stylish right-hand batsman and off-spinner, 75-year-old Mitra represented Bengal in 51 first class matches. He scored 1698 and took 50 wickets in his career spanning from 1953-1969.
Mitra also played Lancashire League along with Dattu Phadkar.
In another decision, the CAB also decided to hold its 80th annual general meeting on July 27 in which Jagmohan Dalmiya is set to be re-elected president uncontested.
CAB also decided to confer India women’s captain Jhulan Goswami with a special award. The annual award’s ceremony of CAB will be held on July 23.
