CAG post two wicket win over India Cements

Comptroller & Auditor General of India registered a two wicket win over star-studded India Cements in a high scoring match, while State Bank of Mysore won by 57 runs against Bharat Petroleum Limited in Group-B league of the Airtel BCCI Corporate cricket tournament for the Raj Singh Dungarpur trophy on Friday.

At the end of two rounds of matches, CAG leads the point table with eight, followed by India Cements (5) and State Bank of Mysore (3). BPCL have lost both their matches.

Openers Abhinav Mukund (69-94b, 4×4) and K B Arun Karthick (83-102b, 10×4, 1×6) and their 152 runs in 179 balls went in vain as CAG’s Arpit Vasavada (82-95b, 7×4) and five of their other batsmen chipped in to register a win over the local team which had top players from Chennai Super Kings.

In the other match, State Bank of Mysore’s middle order bat Anirudh Joshi came up with a superb unbeaten 109 (5×4, 5×6) from 92 balls to help his team score 306 for 4 in 50 overs.

BPCL could muster only 249 before being all out in 47.5 overs.
