Castrol India today announced the signing of Australian speedster Brett Lee as their global brand ambassador for the next two years. In his role as Castrol’s Brand Ambassador, Brett Lee will spearhead Castrol’s above the line and below the line brand activities including its initiatives in the digital space.
During a live performance on stage, Brett Lee launched Castrol’s signature tune for the Castrol Index, which will be played live in all stadiums where the Castrol Index will be shown live during matches.
The tune has been composed and recorded by Brett’s band – White Shoe Theory.
Brett said, “Castrol’s initiatives in the digital space are really innovative. I have not seen any measure for bowling performances like the one in the Castrol Index. The Castrol Index’s Bowling Efficiency can combine the number of wickets I take the quality of those wickets and my economy rate and tell me how well or not so well, I bowled! This kind of analysis and insights help me evaluate and improve my performance.”
Giriraj Bagri, Vice President Marketing, Castrol India said, “Brett’s signing completes our team of high performance cricket Brand Ambassadors which includes the world’s greatest batsman – Sachin Tendulkar, the leading ICC ranked All rounder – Shakib Al Hasan and now Brett Lee – one of the fastest bowlers in the world.”
Lee also announced the first winner of the Castrol World Cup ka Hero consumer promotion which has been highly successful in the market place.
“I have been dreaming of being a Castrol World Cup ka Hero and seeing a World Cup match from a vantage position in the stadium. This is really unbelievable and I’m looking forward to this once in a lifetime experience,” said Ashok Kumar, the winner.
