The CEAT Cricket Ratings of the year 2013-2014 will be announced tonight in Mumbai. Players who performed admirably across formats like Virat Kohli, Kumar Sangakkara and AB de Villiers, could well take home a few awards.

 

The CEAT Cricket Ratings, established in 1995, look at the performance of a player or a team from a time period of October 1 of one year to September 30 of the next year. The Player ratings in Tests and One-Day Internationals (ODIs) take into consideration number of runs scored, number of wickets taken, number of catches taken and number of wicketkeeping dismissals in an innings. The player ratings for Twenty20 Internationals (T20I) additionally takes into consideration the economy rate of bowlers. Points are awarded on the basis of minimum runs scored or wickets taken, with bonuses for extra runs or wickets.

 

The governing council comprises of the legendary cricketers Sunil Gavaskar, Ian Chappell and Clive Llyod.
