Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) 2016 Schedule: Match fixtures and ground details
The Celebrity Cricket League (CCL) is an annual cricketing tournament which features some of the biggest names in the Indian entertainment industry pit their skills against one another. There are teams from across the country featuring celebrities from respective locations. The CCL 2016 will commence on January 23 with match between Mumbai Heroes and the newest team Punjab De Sher at the iconic Brabourne Stadium. The tournament will end on February 14. The eight teams in the tournament are split in two groups where each team will play the other teams in the group once. Profits from the CCL 2016 tournament will be donated for a charitable cause to restore lives of acid-attack victims. Group A consists teams like Mumbai Heroes, Punjab De Sher, Bengal Tigers and Bhojpuri Dabanggs. The Group B features teams from the southern parts of the country including Kerala Strikers, Chennai Rhinos, Karnataka Bulldozers and Telugu Warriors. Telugu Warriors are the defending champions and will look to extend their run.

The tournament not only brings the Indian film and tv industry together on the field of cricket, but uses the profits for the advancement of a CSR initiative. Big names like Ritesh Deshmukh, Mohan Lal, Bobby Deol and Manoj Tiwari are part of the various teams. The tournament promises to be a success with such big names in the rosters of the various teams.
