Indian team is currently facing New Zealand in the much-important final of the Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai. One of the important player for the Kiwi was Rachin Ravindra. The left-handed player was in peak form throughout the tournament, and was off to a great start as well.
Despite the initial great start, he fell short to a delivery by Kuldeep Yadav, and got dismissed by a googly from the spinner. Even though Ravindra got dismissed on just 37 runs, he broke a massive record.
Rachin Ravindra finished Champions Trophy 2025 campaign with 263 runs in four matches. Hence, he became the first player from New Zealand to score more than 250 runs in a single edition of the tournament. Kane Williamson was the previous holder of the record, with 244 runs to his name in the 2017 edition.
