West Indian batting star Chris Gayle has reportedly poked fun at young Bangladeshi all-rounder Sohag Gazi, first asking who Gazi is and then saying that he made the player famous.
Gazi has created a weird record by becoming the only man to be hit for six off the first ball of a Test match, which was his first-ever ball in Test cricket.
According to News.com.au, the cocky big-hitting left-hander almost bordered on the insulting when asked about Gazi, saying that he made the all-rounder famous by whacking him for a six in his first delivery in Test cricket.
Gayle eventually cut out the playful chat, noting that Gazi is ”a good young man and a good prospect for Bangladesh cricket”.
