The world boss Chris Gayle adds another feather to his hat as he hits the 600 th six of his Twenty20 career and thus becomes the first cricketer to do so. Chris Gayle is currently playing in the Big Bash League for the Melbourne Renegades. The Renegades were up against Brisbane Heat at Gabba and were chasing 181 in the 3rd T20 match of the tournament. Gayle hit two sixes to reach the 600 th six of his T20 career as Melbourne Renegades clinched the much wanted victory in their very first match defeating the Brisbane team at their home. Chris Gayle recently came back from a surgery following his injuries and last played in the Bangladesh Premier League for the team Barisal Bulls who emerged as the runners up of the tournament. Gayle played a stupendous knock of 92 off 47 in the second match he played for the franchise this season. The innings included 9 huge sixes that contributed towards the record. The other batsmen in the list of maximum T20 sixes are far behind him as the record-holder for second highest numbers is his West Indies team mate Kieron Pollard with 388 sixes followed by Brendon McCullum who has so far hit 290 T20 sixes.

There are only two Indian players in the top ten list of players with maximum sixes in the T20 format, Suresh Raina being the highest with his 225 sixes followed by Rohit Sharma with 219 sixes.
