Five Under-23 Saurashtra players were shockingly discovered in possession of alcohol at the airport while returning from a Colonel CK Nayudu Trophy match in Chandigarh.

With a resounding victory against Chandigarh, the Saurashtra squad was on their way back home. Five of its players—Prakash Rajdev, Samarth Gajjar, Rakshit Mehta, Parshwaraj Rana, and Smitraj Jhalani—were discovered to be carrying alcohol in their kits during a regular customs inspection at Indigo’s cargo division. Specifically, the kits contained two cases of beer and exactly twenty-seven bottles of booze. The players implicated were swiftly reported by the customs officials to the Saurashtra Cricket Association.
