Sydney Sixers put up a competitive total of 185 for the loss of five wickets from their allotted 20 overs in their opening Champions League T20 2012 clash against former champions Chennai Super Kings at Wanderers, Johannesburg on Sunday.
After winning the toss, CSK captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni elected to field as he believed that it will be a tough pitch to defend on.
Man of the Tournament of ICC World T20 Shane Watson again provided a strong start to the Sixers putting on 46 runs for the first wicket from 30 balls.
The Australian side wickets at regular intervals till, Moises Heriques hit some lusty blows towards the end of the innings and ended up scoring 49 runs from 23 balls.
He added 75 runs from 39 balls with Steven Smith for the fifth wicket.
Ravichandran Ashwin was the pick of the bowlers for Chennai Super Kings picking up two wickets for 32 runs in four overs.
