The match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Brisbane Heat has been abandoned due to persistent rains at the Sardar Patel Stadium, Ahmedabad. This means Sunrisers Hyderabad have no chance of qualifying for the semi-final as they finish with six points in their four matches.
The rains hit the match between Titans and Trinidad and Tobago in the second innings of the Titans’ innings. There was only one cover which covered the wicket. The outfield was unprotected which meant that it was a very difficult task for the ground staff to clear to make the conditions fit for the play.
The Trinidad and Tobago team have moved into the second position courtesy of a narrow six-run win. If they avoid losing by a big margin against CHennai they can still qualify for the semi-final considering their superior net run-rate.
Chennai Super Kings are placed at the top with 12 points with three wins in three matches.
