New Zealand cricketer Daniel Flynn, who will be arriving in India with the Northern Knights, said that the team’s first and foremost aim will be to qualify for the Champions League Twenty20 (CLT20) tournament. Check CLT20 2014 schedule with match time table and ground details here.

Northern Knights will face Southern Express in the first qualifying match of the CLT20 2014 which kicks off at Raipur on September 13.

“To qualify for the OPPO CLT20 will be our first and foremost aim,” Flynn was quoted as saying by The Hindu. Flynn is the skipper of the Northern Knights from New Zealand and has scored an unbeaten 122, 73 and 72 in the recently concluded season. “Pitches back home are a lot different from those here. We’ll share knowledge with the experienced guys in our side familiar with these conditions to know what to be confronted with,” said Flynn.

Flynn has played 24 Tests, 20 One-Day Internationals (ODIs) and five Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for New Zealand. Speaking about himself, Flynn said, “I keep a low profile and am pretty laid back. Cricket can be consuming.”

Flynn spends time with friends and family when he is not playing cricket. When he is touring, he likes to watch movies. He also plays golf when is touring. He loves rock music. “Lorde, Foo Fighters and the John Butler Trio are my favourite artistes,” Flynn concluded.
