CLT20 2014: Robin Uthappa stars run-chase well against Hobart Hurricanes

Robin Uthappa managed to get off to a good start against Champions League T20 (CLT20) 2014, in the semi-final between Kolkata Knight Riders and Hobart Hurricanes. In two overs, Kolkata are 18 for no loss.

Ben Hilfenhaus started the proceedings for Hobart. Robin Uthappa drove the second ball for a four through the cover region. He then opened the face of the bat and guided it through third-man for another four. Doug Bollinger came in to bowl the second over and after two dot balls, Gautam Gambhir got a leg bye off the third. Bollinger then bowled it short and it went for four wides. Earlier, Xavier Doherty won the toss and elected to bat first. Tim Paine was ruled out due to an injury. Thus Doherty captained. Hobart brought in Dom Michael in place of Paine. Kolkata Knight Riders were unchanged. Though Hobart struggled for a major part of their innings, Shoaib Malik kept them in the hunt and his unbeaten 66 took Hobart to 140 for six.
