"We did not have a proper came before our last tour to the Caribbean. We just had two days to prepare and did not have any practice games in the West Indies, because it was raining, opined Lalchand Rajput, coach of the India A team which is to tour New Zealand from September 18.

“We did not have a proper came before our last tour to the Caribbean. We just had two days to prepare and did not have any practice games in the West Indies, because it was raining, opined Lalchand Rajput, coach of the India A team which is to tour New Zealand from September 18.

Talking to Times of India in Bangalore on Monday, Rajput felt the Bangalore weather was ideal in preparing for the tour of New Zealand. And with ten days to go, the team has enough time during their preparatory camp in Bangalore.

The coach said that the team that travelled to the West Indies had a lot of seniors, which is not the case with the one that is to embark on a tour of New Zealand. But, Rajput added, “The selectors have provided a chance to the players who have done well on the domestic circuit and who have not been tested at a higher level. This is an opportunity for them to show their worth.”
