The playing conditions in New Zealand will be tough for the Indian cricket team, newly-appointed manager TC Mathew said on Tuesday. A month-long tour to New Zealand begins with the first of five ODIs Jan 19 and ends with the second Test Feb 18.

“Even though the New Zealand cricket team is struggling, the conditions are tough for more reasons than one. Our team will have to put up a good show,” Mathew told reporters.
