After their outright win over Tripura, Kerala will be high on confidence when they take on Andhra in a fourth round Ranji Trophy plate group match at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium from Tuesday.
Kerala have eight points from three matches while Andhra have nine from the same number of games.
The hosts would depend a lot on in-form all-rounder Sony Cheruvathoor, who scored a brilliant hundred in the first match against Vidarbha, captain V A Jagadeesh, opener Abhishek hegde and Sachin Baby, to see them through.
Cheruvathoor (15 wickets) and P Prasanth (14) are the the leading wickettakers for Kerala.
Cheruvathoor is also the leading rungetter with 231, followed by Jagadeesh with 198 runs.

Andhra’s batting will revolve around Venugopal Rao, Gyaneshar Rao, G Shankara Rao and B Sumanth, while the bowling will be shouldered by medium pacers Shahabudeen and H Whatekar and supported by off-spinners Rao and A G Pradeep. (PTI)
