CPL 2015: Kevin Pietersen, Chris Gayle participate in ‘Drone Down’ challenge

The two cricketers were challenged to smash a drone ahead of the third edition of the tournament.

Kevin Pietersen and Chris Gayle have appeared in promotional video for the upcoming Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2015, which is scheduled to begin on June 20 and is scheduled to go on till July 26.

Pietersen and Gayle, who represent St Lucia Zouks and Jamaica Tawallahs respectively in the league, were both challenged to smash an aerial drone, which was stationed near the umpire’s position. After several attempts, with Pietersen nearly achieving the feat, it was the lofty Jamaican who finally got the better of the expensive piece of technology. Barbados Tridents enter this year’s edition of the league as defending champions, having defeated Guyana Amazon Warriors in the final of last year’s event. Hero MotoCorp, which has had an active presence in the field of cricket, has been named as the title sponsor of the Caribbean’s showpiece Twenty20 event.
