Tickets for the inaugural Caribbean Premier League (CPL) went on sale, allowing cricket fans here the chance to secure their seats for the Twenty 20 event.
Officials said Friday tickets had been reasonably priced, with adults paying BDS$20 and children 12 and under paying BDS$10, reports CMC.
Some of the finest local, regional and international stars will showcase their skills in the region for the July 30 to Aug 24 tournament.
“The CPL represents a watershed moment in regional cricket,” said ticket co-ordinator, Charmaine Hamilton.
“And as a result, we are anticipating that Barbadian fans will flock to all ticket outlets, as they prepare to throw their support behind the Barbados Tridents.”
There is a limit of 10 tickets per person and tickets will only be available for Barbados matches.
The Barbados leg will feature the glitzy opening ceremony July 30 at Kensington Oval starting at 5 p.m., followed by the curtain-raising game at 8 p.m. between Barbados Tridents and St. Lucia Zouks.
