After a largely successful first game at New York which saw a big crowd in attendance for a match between the Sachin’s Blasters and Warne’s Warriors, the teams have now moved to Houston in their attempt to show case cricket to the most sought-after market in the cricket world which of course is the USA. The teams have touched down already and players are doing their bit to stir up some excitement among the locals of the place. Like the first game, this match will be played at a baseball park. The Minute Maid Park is to play host to the second game of the historic Cricket All Stars 2015 series. The second game is to take place on November 11 and the stars will indulge in small coaching and engaging activities with budding cricket enthusiasts in the region as they previously did in New York.
The first match saw certain players roll back the years and co-founder Shane Warne was particularly fantastic as he picked three wickets including that of opposing captain Sachin Tendulkar. Most people in the park where those with roots from traditionally cricket playing countries such as India, Pakistan and Australia.
The Cricket All Stars official social media handle posted a video of the cricketers making way out of their flight with Mahela Jayawardene doing the filming. Allan Donal and Warne have already tweeted about the same. It will be interesting to see which players make the cut in the second fixture. Glenn McGrath and Sourav Ganguly who didn’t play the first fixture are likely to play.
