Cricket Australia (CA) believes that the logo of their main sponsors Victoria Bitter can be displayed on player’s jerseys in the limited-overs tournament in United Arab Emirates despite the nation’s tough alcohol laws.

Cricket Australia (CA) believes that the logo of their main sponsors Victoria Bitter can be displayed on player’s jerseys in the limited-overs tournament in United Arab Emirates despite the nation’s tough alcohol laws.

 

Australia will play Afghanistan and Pakistan in four One-Day Internationals and three T20 Internationals from August 25 in the UAE.

 

The last time Australia played in the UAE, in 2009, they had worn VB-branded jerseys.

‘As far as UAE is concerned our understanding is there’s not an issue with VB branding,’ Peter Young, Public Affairs general manager of Cricket Australia, was quoted as saying by skynews.com.au
