It is the occasion of India’s one of the most celebrated festival — Diwali. This festival is also called as the festival of lights, which is celebrated every year in autumn. Countries like India, Nepal and others in South Asia have official holiday on this day. This festival is the symbol to victory of light over darkness and good over evil. On this auspicious day, devotees light up their houses, decorate and renovate as well. It starts with the puja, followed by fireworks and then a family feast including sweats and other things. In today’s world Cricketers are often seen quite active in social media making the most use of it, especially on some auspicious or festive occasion.
October 30, 2016 marks the day when the whole India will celebrate the festival of Diwali. Not only in India but also almost every corner across the globe it is celebrated, irrespective of how largely they celebrate. Several cricketers posted their best wishes and greetings on Twitter. The Indian cricket team are currently not playing any matches for some time but they gave the gift of series win over New Zealand just before the day of this festival. In the fifth and final One-Day, India beat New Zealand by a huge margin of 190 runs. The Indian cricketers will be soon back in action in the upcoming home series against England.
On this special day, we present you with some of the tweets posts from cricket fraternity:
