Chennai Super Kings (CSK) lost their opening batsman Dwayne Smith on the fourth ball of the fifth over, when the batsman dragged one on to his wickets off Anureet Singh, against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 match at Chennai on Saturday. Smith faced 13 balls and clobbered three boundaries and two sixes as he and McCullum took Chennai Super Kings off to a rapid start in their IPL match. Smith and McCullum added 50 runs for the first wicket, once again providing Chennai Super Kings a tremendous start in their IPL match.
Earlier during the toss, Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat against the Kings XI Punjab. CSK retained their playing eleven, whereas KXIP made two changes. A struggling Glenn Maxwell was replaced by George Bailey while Karanveer Singh replaced Shivam Sharma.
