Darren Sammy equals world record of five catches in an innings during India-West Indies 2nd Test

West Indies skipper Darren Sammy on Friday equaled the world record of taking maximum catches as a fielding in a Test innings. The last time such a record was equaled was in February earlier this year when Graeme Smith took five catches against Pakistan.

West Indies skipper Darren Sammy on Friday equaled the world record of taking maximum catches as a fielding in a Test innings. The last time such a record was equaled was in February earlier this year when Graeme Smith took five catches against Pakistan.
 
Apart from Sammy there are six other fielders who achieved this feat with the first one created back in 1936 by Vic Richardson against South Africa at Durban.
 
Sammy on Friday took the catches of Murali Vijay, Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni and Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
