Darren Sammy, John Mooney fined for violating ICC Code of conduct for players in ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy and Ireland bowler John Mooney have both been fined 30 per cent of their match fees for violating Level 1 Article 2.1.4 of the International Cricket Council (ICC) Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an International match” after Ireland defeated West Indies by four wickets. Sammy is said to have said some offensive words during the 34th over of the first innings after he played a shot and John Mooney is said to have returned the favour as he was heard swearing later in the innings, in the 45th over of the same innings after one of the fielders dropped a catch,  according to icc-cricket.com. Both players admitted to their offence and accepted their respective fines when they were summoned by the match referee Chris Broad.
