David Mathias called up as full-time trainee at MRF Pace Foundation

David Mathias, the fast bowler who was an integral part of Karnataka Under-22 team that won the one-day tournament for South Zone teams, has been called up as a full time trainee at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai.

David Mathias, the fast bowler who was an integral part of Karnataka Under-22 team that won the one-day tournament for South Zone teams, has been called up as a full-time trainee at the MRF Pace Foundation in Chennai.

Mathias, along with a few other fast bowlers from the state, appeared for selection trails at the MRF Pace Foundation earlier this year, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) said.

At the end of the trials, which was conducted under the watchful eyes of the newly appointed Director Glenn McGrath, former Australia fast bowler, Mathias was selected as a full time trainee, the KSCA said.

The 22-year-old Mathias will join the Pace Foundation next month and will undergo training until September. the KSCA said.
